- 1 medium cabbage
- 3 to 4 medium carrots
- 1 large onion
- 1 large sweet pepper
- 3 white potatoes or 4 mini ears corn
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil or fat-skimmed ham water
- 1/4 tsp. sugar or 1/2 pkg. Equal
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. dry parsley
- 1/4 tsp. dry rosemary or marjoram
- 1 1/2 c. water
Method
- Rinse and cut cabbage into 2-inch strips.
- Immerse in water while preparing other veggies.
- Scrape carrots.
- Cut into 2-inch diagonals.
- Remove seeds from pepper.
- Cut into 1/4-inch strips. If potatoes are used, peel and slice into 1/2-inch thick slices.
