Ingredients
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. cornbread mix
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, cut in chunks
- 1/2 green pepper, cut in chunks
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Cajun stewed tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Method
- Prepare cornbread as directed on package; cut in 6 pieces. In skillet, brown meat with onions, green pepper and garlic; drain.
- Stir in tomatoes and tomato sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
- Simmer 15 minutes.
- Serve over cornbread. Serves 6.
