Ingredients

  • 3 pounds London Broil
  • 1/4 teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Ground Pepper
  • 13 cups Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced Or Powder
  • 1 whole Bay Leaf

Method

  • Preheat your broiler and line a baking sheet with foil.
  • Salt and pepper the meat.
  • Using a large skillet over low heat, mix the vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and the bay leaf.
  • Simmer this until the liquid has reduced by half and is a syrupy, about 5 minutes.
  • Discard the bay leaf.
  • Place your london broil on the baking sheet and cover it with the glaze.
  • Broil the meat 4 inches from the heat about 4 to 5 minutes per side, longer for more done meat.
  • Place meat on a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.
  • Slice the meat against the grain in thin slices and serve.
  • Tip: Mom always cracked the oven door open when using the broiler so the meat doesnt burn.
