Ingredients
- 4 lbs beef roast (rib roast)
- black pepper, freshly cracked
- kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Method
- Bring the roast to room temperature.
- Preheat the oven to 550 degrees.
- Rub the meat down with Kosher salt, pepper and garlic powder and place in oven in roasting pan.
- Roast for 15 minutes per pound.
- Then TURN OFF THE OVEN and do NOT open the door!
- Go play a couple of games of tennis, return 2-4 hours later and remove the roast from the oven for perfectly done beef.
- Voila!
