Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. sliced calf liver
  • seasoned flour
  • 6 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices crisp bacon, crumbled

Method

  • Dredge liver with seasoned flour; saute in hot fat until slightly brown.
  • Place in greased baking dish.
  • Cover with onions. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Sprinkle with bacon.
  • Add 1/2 cup hot water; cover.
  • Bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes, adding more water, if needed.
  • Remove cover; bake 10 minutes longer.
