- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 2 c. cooked, drained lentils
- 1/2 c. whole wheat bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. sunflower seeds or walnut pieces
- 1/2 tsp. sage or thyme
- 2 Tbsp. brewers yeast
- 2 Tbsp. soy flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- sesame seeds
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Saute onion in oil until soft.
- Mix ingredients and place in large, greased loaf pan.
- Sprinkle generously with sesame seed.
- Baked for 30 minutes, covered with aluminum foil or a cookie sheets, and then for 10 minutes, uncovered.
- Serve with cashew gravy or your favorite gravy.
