Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 c. cold water
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- grated peeling of 1 lemon
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 baked (9-inch) pie crust
- 3 egg whites
- 1/3 c. sugar
Method
- In medium saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar and cornstarch.
- Stir in water until smooth.
- Stir egg yolks, bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Spoon hot filling into crust.
