Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. medium carrots, cut into 1/2-inch diagonal slices
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Method
- Place carrots in saucepot; cover with water.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes or until crisp-tender.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt margarine. Add brown sugar, lemon juice and salt; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Drain carrots; add margarine mixture and toss gently. Yield: 6 servings.
