Ingredients
- 2 lb. stew meat
- 1 1/4 c. Burgundy wine or cooking sherry
- salt and pepper
- potatoes
- 8 oz. can mushrooms (stems and pieces)
- 2 cans golden mushroom soup
- carrots
- onions
- 4 small turnips
- celery
- herbs; sweet basil, thyme, rosemary, tarragon, dill weed, and broken bay leaves (pinches of all herbs)
Method
- Cook all together.
- Cover and thicken for 45 minutes.
- Bake at 275° for 5 hours.
