Ingredients
- 3 pt. fruit, cooked
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 c. sugar (for batter)
Method
- Cook the fruit (peaches, blackberries or cherries) and sweeten with the 1 cup sugar.
- If using canned, sweetened fruit, omit sugar.
- Prepare batter by mixing together the dry ingredients and milk with the additional cup of sugar.
- Melt the butter in 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Add fruit to pan, then drip batter over hot fruit. Bake for about 45 minutes at 350°.
