Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. sweet basil
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cans tomato paste
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagne noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 (12 oz.) carton Ricotta cheese
  • 2 (6 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

Method

  • In hot oil in a heavy saucepan (use your large spaghetti pot), brown garlic and beef.
  • Cook and stir until crumbly, about like spaghetti.
  • Add salt, pepper, sweet basil, parsley, Parmesan cheese and tomato paste blended with hot water.
  • Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
