Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 clove garlic or garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. snipped parsley (optional)
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 carton Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano

Method

  • Early in the day in hot skillet, saute onion in salad oil. Add chuck.
  • Cook until red color disappears.
  • Mash garlic with salt or use garlic salt.
  • Add to meat with pepper, oregano, parsley, tomatoes, tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese and simmer 30 minutes. Refrigerate (not necessary).
  • Meanwhile, boil lasagna noodles in water and butter or as label directs.
  • Drain and rinse in cool water.
