Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 1 lb. (No. 2 can) stewed tomatoes
  • 1 c. creamy cottage cheese
  • 2 c. Ricotta cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Method

  • Brown meat in olive oil, then add other ingredients and simmer 1/2 hour.
  • Separately combine 1 cup creamy cottage cheese, 2 cups Ricotta cheese, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley, 1 beaten egg, 1 tablespoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
  • Cook a 10 ounce box lasagna noodles.
  • In a baking dish, alternate layers of noodles, sauce, cottage cheese mixture and shredded Mozzarella cheese.
  • Top with Mozzarella cheese and bake in 350° oven for 1/2 hour.
