- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 Tbsp. basil
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
- 2 (6 oz.) tomato paste
- 3 to 4 c. cottage cheese
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles or wide noodles
Method
- Brown meat; drain well, then add next 6 ingredients.
- Simmer, uncovered, until thick, 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender; rinse in cold water.
- Combine cottage cheese with next 4 ingredients.
- Place half the noodles in 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Spread half the cottage cheese mixture over; add half meat mixture.
- Repeat layers.
- Bake in moderate oven at 375° for 30 minutes.
- Let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
