Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 29 oz. tomato sauce
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2/3 c. pepperoni and/or Italian sausages
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. sliced olives
  • 1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 c. Ricotta cheese
  • 3 c. grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Brown ground beef.
  • Drain.
  • Add tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in 1/2 teaspoon sugar, tomatoes, pepperoni, onions, olives and bell pepper.
  • Simmer slowly for 10 minutes.
  • Bring 4 cups of water to rapid boil.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 cup oil.
  • Add lasagna and cook, uncovered, for approximately 20 minutes.
  • Drain lasagna and rinse in cold water.
