Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 8 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1 whole egg
Method
- Cream butter and sugar well.
- Sift flour and baking powder together.
- Add milk alternately with creamed mixture.
- Beat egg whites until stiff; fold in the mixture.
- Bake at 325° for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
- Makes 4 layers.
