Ingredients

  • Fresh cucumbers for 5 qt.
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • fresh dill- 10 heads
  • hot red pepper

Method

  • Sterilize 5 quart jars and lids.
  • Wash fresh cucumbers and pack into hot jars.
  • To each quart add:
  • 1 clove garlic, 2 heads fresh dill, small piece of hot red pepper.
  • Combine 1 cup of pickling salt, 3 cups water and 1 quart cider vinegar.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Fill jars to within 1/2 inch of top with boiling mixture.
  • Adjust lids. Process in boiling water bath for 20 minutes.
