Ingredients

  • 4 lb. lean beef short ribs
  • 3/4 c. short ribs
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 small clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame seed
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. m.s.g. (optional)
  • 1 tsp. minced ginger

Method

  • With bone side down, make a lengthwise cut in each piece, cutting beef halfway to bone. Cut crosswise at 1/2-inch intervals. Meat will look like a fan.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in a blender. Pour sauce over meat before broiling.
  • Place on hot grill and brown on all four sides.
  • Cook until brown and crusty.
