Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup preserves
Method
- Put butter in bowl of electric mixer.
- Beat on medium speed until butter is fluffy.
- Add cream cheese, beat until well incorporated.
- Beat in flour, sugar, and salt until most of flour is mixed.
- Finish mixing by hand. (Do not overbeat or kolachy will be tough.)
- Flatten dough into a disk; wrap in plastic wrap. Chill 4 hours or overnight.
