Ingredients
- 4 eggs separated
- 6 large potatoes peeled grated and drained
- 1 large onion grated
- salt and pepper to taste
- pinch of baking powder
- 1 cup vegetable oil
Method
- Beat egg whites until stiff and dry
- In a large mixing bowl mix potatoes onnion egg yolks slat pepper and baking powder, Add egg whites fold in mix well
- Heat oil in a large frying pan and drop latkes from a large cooking spoon into the hot fat. Fry golden brown on both sides drain on paper towels. Can be served with meats or with sugar apple sauce sour cream.
