Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped

Method

  • Beat egg whites stiff.
  • Mix together flour, sugar, Crisco oil, cinnamon, egg yolks, pineapple, juice and nuts.
  • Fold in egg whites.
  • Grease tube pan and flour.
  • Place in cold oven and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  • After cake is cool, pour on running icing.
