Ingredients

  • 2 lg. onions, chopped
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 tbsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1-1/4 cup flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
  • Toast
  • Turkey slices
  • Country ham slices
  • Tomato slices
  • Parmesan cheese

Method

  • In a large sauce pan, saute onions in margarine until transparent.
  • Add: Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce and flour; stir into a rue and let bubble over medium heat.
  • Slowly add milk to make a medium sauce.
  • Add cheeses and stir to blend until cheeses are melted and hot.
  • To assemble Hot Brown Sandwich top two slices of toast with 2 ounces sliced turkey and 2 ounces of country ham; cover with sauce.
  • Garnish with 2 slices cooked bacon and 2 slices tomato; sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • Heat in oven or micrwave until sauce bubbles.
