Ingredients

  • 300 g chicken
  • 1 clove *garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp *sake
  • 1 Tbsp *soy sauce

Method

  • Chop the chicken into about 3 cm pieces and put into a bowl.
  • Grate or slice garlic into small/thin pieces.
  • Add garlic, sake and soy sauce to the bowl and mix together very well with your hands.
  • Leave for at least 30 min to allow the chicken to soak in all flavour.
  • Before frying, dust each chicken piece with potato starch.
  • A deep frying pan or wok is best for frying.
  • Heat the pan and add enough oil to cover all the chicken.
  • Once hot, carefully add the pieces of chicken one by one.
  • When the chicken has turned a nice golden-brown colour (about 5 to 10 minutes), flip each piece to ensure even cooking.
  • Once cooked, enjoy!
