Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups Butter
  • 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1-1/4 cup Oatmeal, Finely Ground In Processor
  • 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 6 ounces, weight Chocolate Chips
  • 2 ounces, weight Hershey Bar, Chopped Into Chunks (I Used Milk Chocolate Chips From Guittard)
  • 3/4 cups Chopped Nuts (I Just Put A Handful In Because I Don't Like A Lot Of Nuts)

Method

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2. Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer.
  • 3. Add egg and vanilla.
  • 4. Mix together flour, ground oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • 5. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  • 6. Stir in chocolate chips, chopped Hershey bar, and chopped nuts.
  • 7. Make golf-ball-sized cookies spaced 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • 8. Bake for 9 minutes.
  • Yields 2 dozen cookies.
