Ingredients

  • 6 oz. long grain and wild rice
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 1 fryer chicken, cut up
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. milk

Method

  • Combine long grain and wild
  • rice
  • and water in a 2 1/2 quart casserole. Add salt and pepper.
  • Arrange chicken on top of rice mixture.
  • Bake, covered,
  • 1 1/4 hours at 375° or until chicken is done.
  • Combine
  • soup
  • and
  • milk.
  • When casserole is done,
  • pour soup
  • mixture
  • over
  • casserole.
  • Return
  • to
  • oven, uncovered, and bake until soup is bubbly. Serves 4 to 6.
