Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 3 whole Yellow Onion
  • 1 whole Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 bunch Green Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 cans 8 Oz. Tomato Sauce
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 cups Long Grain Rice
  • 2 Links Of Smoked Sausage
  • 2 pounds Shrimp
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • Dried Parsley Flakes

Method

  • Chops all vegetables.
  • Quarter sausage and halve shrimp.
  • Heat oil in the bottom of a heavy stockpot and add yellow onion and green bell peppers until softened.
  • Then add green onions and garlic.
  • Once all vegetables have softened add tomato sauce, water, rice and sausage.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Add shrimp and reduce heat to a simmer and cook covered for 25 minutes.
  • Stir frequently or infrequently during cooking.
  • Salt and Pepper to taste.
  • In the last five minutes of cooking, add 3 tsp of dried parsley flakes.
