- 3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 3 whole Yellow Onion
- 1 whole Green Bell Pepper
- 1 bunch Green Onion
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 2 cans 8 Oz. Tomato Sauce
- 2 cups Water
- 2 cups Long Grain Rice
- 2 Links Of Smoked Sausage
- 2 pounds Shrimp
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- Dried Parsley Flakes
Method
- Chops all vegetables.
- Quarter sausage and halve shrimp.
- Heat oil in the bottom of a heavy stockpot and add yellow onion and green bell peppers until softened.
- Then add green onions and garlic.
- Once all vegetables have softened add tomato sauce, water, rice and sausage.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add shrimp and reduce heat to a simmer and cook covered for 25 minutes.
- Stir frequently or infrequently during cooking.
- Salt and Pepper to taste.
- In the last five minutes of cooking, add 3 tsp of dried parsley flakes.
