Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 2 loaves frozen bread dough
  • 1 pkg. pepperoni, thin sliced
  • 1/2 lb. grated Mozzarella
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 can chopped mushrooms

Method

  • Cook sausage, onion, peppers and mushrooms; drain well.
  • Cool completely.
  • Thaw dough; let rise.
  • Roll out thin.
  • Place pepperoni and sausage mixture on dough.
  • Top with grated cheese. Roll dough as if for jelly roll.
  • Make sure ends are tucked in so filling doesn't spill out.
  • Place rolls on lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Make small slits to allow steam to escape.
  • Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Serve warm.
