Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 cups chopped onions
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
  • 23 cup chopped celery
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 14 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 bay leaf

Method

  • Brown ground beef with onions.
  • Place in slow cooker.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and add to slow cooker.
  • Mix well.
  • Cover and cook on low for 12 hours.
  • Remove from slow cooker and allow to cool.
  • Place in freezer bags or use in recipes.
  • Label and freeze.
  • To serve: thaw.
  • Heat until hot and bubbly.
