Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 3/4 c. whole cranberries, crushed
- 1/2 c. 100% apple juice
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 large or small apple, cored and chopped
Method
- You may use a food processor to mince whole cranberries and later the peeled and cored apple using the mince blade.
- Combine minced cranberries, apple juice, apple bits and allspice in a medium non-reactive sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil, lower heat. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
- Serve warm or chilled.
- Best when made a day ahead.
