Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 3/4 c. whole cranberries, crushed
  • 1/2 c. 100% apple juice
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 large or small apple, cored and chopped

Method

  • You may use a food processor to mince whole cranberries and later the peeled and cored apple using the mince blade.
  • Combine minced cranberries, apple juice, apple bits and allspice in a medium non-reactive sauce pan.
  • Bring to a boil, lower heat. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
  • Serve warm or chilled.
  • Best when made a day ahead.
