Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. Wesson oil
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. nutmeg (scant)
- 1 egg
- 1 c. buttermilk
- cinnamon
Method
- Mix first 5 ingredients together.
- Save 3/4 cup mixture for topping.
- Add all remaining ingredients except cinnamon and mix until most of the lumps are dissolved.
- Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 inch square pans or round cake pans.
- Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and swirl with knife.
- Sprinkle on reserved topping mixture.
- Bake at 350° about 30 to 35 minutes.
