Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 to 2 shakes garlic powder
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 envelope spatini
  • 3/4 pt. sour cream
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 8 oz. shell macaroni
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 large can stewed tomatoes
  • 8 oz. Provolone cheese

Method

  • Brown beef and onion.
  • Add garlic, tomatoes, drained mushrooms, spatini and tomato paste; simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Cook and drain macaroni.
  • Put half on bottom of baking dish.
  • Cover with half of the meat sauce, sour cream and all of the Provolone. Layer the rest of the macaroni, meat sauce, sour cream and Mozzarella.
  • Cover and bake for 25 to 40 minutes at 350°.
