- 6 butterfly pork chops (thickness optional)
- 1 stick smoked sausage
- 1 large pkg. Mozzarella cheese (1 lb.), shredded
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. McCormick Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- salt (optional)
- 1 (8 oz.) jar mushrooms
- 1/4 small onion, diced
- 1 tsp. black pepper
Method
- Lightly season chops with garlic powder, black pepper and Italian seasoning. Dice sausage, onion and mushrooms. Mix sausage, onion, mushrooms, tomato sauce and 1/2 pound cheese. Stuff mixture into chops. Use toothpicks to hold together. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 400° (until done). Fifteen minutes before done, sprinkle the rest of cheese on chops.
