Ingredients

  • 1- 1/2 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Hormel Chili
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Ranch Style Beans
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1- 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil, Or More As Needed For Frying
  • Optional Taco Toppings: Shredded Lettuce, Grated Cheddar Cheese, Chopped Tomatoes

Method

  • Brown ground beef and onion over medium heat until meat is browned and onions are softened.
  • Drain grease.
  • Add Hormel chili and Ranch Style Beans; heat throughly.
  • In the meantime start your fry bread.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add milk and stir.
  • Make dough balls using all of your dough because once you start the frying it goes pretty fast.
  • I usually use about 1 cup of oil in an 8 inch skillet.
  • Roll out the prepared dough balls one at time on floured board.
  • (The balls dont need to be real big.
  • Once you get all your toppings on it is quite filling. )
  • Fry dough balls in hot oil until brown on both sides.
  • Drain on paper towel while you continue frying all of the flattened dough balls.
  • Top with meat mixture, shredded lettuce, cheese and tomatoes.
