Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. oats
  • 1 bottle (16 oz.) caramel sauce
  • 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream

Method

  • Mix oats, flour, margarine, brown sugar and pecans and spread on cookie sheet.
  • Bake 10 minutes or until crisp.
  • Halve the mixture and spread in bottom of 9 x 13-inch dish.
  • Pour 1/2 of bottle caramel over mixture.
  • Defrost ice cream and spread softened ice cream over caramel.
  • Sprinkle about half of mixture over ice cream, pour remainder of caramel over this and freeze.
