Ingredients
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Sift meal, flour, baking powder, salt and garlic salt together in bowl.
- Beat egg; add egg and milk to meal mix and stir until well mixed.
- Let stand for 5 minutes; add more milk if needed (mixture should be thin enough to drop from spoon).
- Drop by small spoonfuls in hot corn oil at 375°.
- Fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Makes 4 servings.
