Ingredients

  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. very warm water
  • 3 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 c. flour

Method

  • Mix 1 cup hot water, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup Crisco and set aside.
  • Mix 1 cup very warm water with 3 packages yeast.
  • Add 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon baking powder.
  • Mix the two mixtures together.
  • Add 2 beaten eggs and 6 cups flour.
  • Mix well.
  • Shape into rolls and bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Yield:
  • 4 dozen rolls.
  • This can also be stored in the refrigerator if you don't want to use it all.
