Ingredients
- 1 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 c. very warm water
- 3 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 6 c. flour
Method
- Mix 1 cup hot water, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup Crisco and set aside.
- Mix 1 cup very warm water with 3 packages yeast.
- Add 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon baking powder.
- Mix the two mixtures together.
- Add 2 beaten eggs and 6 cups flour.
- Mix well.
- Shape into rolls and bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Yield:
- 4 dozen rolls.
- This can also be stored in the refrigerator if you don't want to use it all.
