Ingredients
- 1 qt. milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Place milk in 2-quart casserole.
- Heat on full power for 9 to 11 minutes or until heated through and temperature of 190°F is reached.
- Stir halfway through heating time.
- Beat egg yolks with sugar and spices in small bowl.
- Stir one cup of hot milk into egg mixture, then gradually blend all of egg mixture into milk.
- Heat on full power for 2 or 3 1/2 minutes or until warmed.
- Stir halfway through heating time.
- Stir in vanilla.
