Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 racks Baby Back Ribs
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP Lawry's seasoned salt
  • 1 TBSP Garlic powder
  • 1 TBSP Onion powder
  • 1 TBSP powdered Ginger
  • 1 TBSP Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground Coriander
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 3 TBSP Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 TBSP Molasses
  • 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 TBSP Yellow Mustard
  • 1 TBSP Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Liquid Smoke, a key ingredient in the sauce and there's no substitute that I know of.

Method

  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  • Mix rub ingredients and seasoned ribs well.
  • Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  • Mix honey bbq sauce ingredients and refrigerate until needed.
  • Can be made a day or two in advance.
  • Set up your grill for Indirect Heat starting with unlit charcoal.
  • Add hot charcoal from a chimney starter to the grill.
  • Place a drip pan in the middle and add water.
  • Place ribs on the grill over the drip pan.
  • Cook at about 325F for 1 & 1/2 hours.
  • ;-)
  • After an hour and a half and the bones are exposed a bet, glazed with bbq sauce continue cooking for about 10 more minutes.
  • Glaze with bbq sauce a 2nd time and continue cooking for about 10 more minutes.
  • Glazed with bbq sauce a 3rd time and you can you cooking for about 10 plus minutes.
  • "Gently" remove from the grill and cool for 10 to 15 minutes before carving and serving.
