Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound grnd beef
  • 3/4 pound grnd pork
  • 3/4 c. minced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 (6 ounce. each) cans tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound lasagna
  • 4 c. cottage cheese (2 lb.)
  • 2 c. shredded Mozzarella (8 ounce.)
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. parsley flakes

Method

  • Cook beef, pork, onion, and garlic till browned; stir in water, tomato paste, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer 30 min.
  • Cook lasagna and drain well.
  • Mix together cottage cheese, Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Large eggs, and parsley for filling.
  • Pour 1/2 c. sauce over bottom of pan.
  • Arrange in layers of filling mix, lasagna, and layer meat mix.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake till warm, covered, then let stand 10 min.
