Ingredients

  • 2 to 2 1/2 lb. 70% lean hamburger
  • 2 large onions, diced
  • 1 green mango
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • sugar
  • 2 (29 oz. each) large cans tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. spaghetti, cooked and drained

Method

  • Brown hamburger, onions and mango in Teflon skillet.
  • Drain off grease.
  • Place in 5 or 6-quart covered pan.
  • Add tomato paste and smooth with meat.
  • Add one can of water from paste can, then add tomato sauce and water from rinsing out each tomato sauce can. Add salt, pepper and sugar.
  • Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer.
  • Stirring frequently, cook for approximately 4 hours. Sprinkle to taste with chili powder.
