Ingredients
- 1 1/2 sq. butter (not margarine)
- 1 (1 lb.) pkg. light brown sugar
- 2/3 c. canned milk
- 1 (1 lb.) pkg. minus 1/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- In heavy saucepan, melt butter.
- Add brown sugar and milk; stir.
- Bring to boil; cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; let cool 2 minutes.
- Add powdered sugar; beat until smooth with electric mixer (if electric mixer isn't used, powdered sugar must be sifted).
- Add vanilla and nuts.
- Spread immediately in buttered pan.
- Yields 34.
