Ingredients
- 5 to 8 Cherry tomatoes
- 400 ml Boiled and cooled water
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Yeast solution, if available
Method
- Sterilize the jar with boiling water.
- Cut the tomatoes and put them in the jar, and add enough water that was boiled then cooled to cover.
- Add sugar and yeast solution if you have any, and leave the jar in a warm place.
- It will ferment in about 2 days in the summer.
- It's done if it foams when you open the lid and shake the jar.
- It will smell like tomato alcohol.
- Open the lid once a day and shake the jar until the starter has developed.
- Store as is in the refrigerator.
- You can strain the liquid when you use it, or strain and store the liquid.
- When 1/2 the liquid remains, add as much boiled and cooled water as the starter you used up with 1 teaspoon of sugar, and store.
