Ingredients
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 1/8 c. flour
- 1 c. hickory nuts, chopped
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl until light.
- Add egg, mixing well.
- Stir in flour until well combined.
- Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
- Shape dough into 2 long rolls; wrap each roll in waxed paper.
- Chill several hours.
- Slice rolls into 1/4-inch slices and place on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375° for 7 to 8 minutes.
