Ingredients

  • 6 (1.5 oz.) Hershey chocolate bars
  • 1 (16 oz.) can Hershey's chocolate syrup
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 1/2 c. flour

Method

  • Melt chocolate bars and half of the chocolate syrup over hot water. Cream the butter with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add chocolate mixture and rest of chocolate syrup.
  • Add flour, buttermilk mixed with soda, vanilla and nuts.
  • Beat well. Bake in a large, greased and floured tube pan in a 300° oven for
  • 1 1/2 hours.
