Ingredients

  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) oleo, softened
  • 1 tsp. crushed dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed dried parsley

Method

  • Split buns in quarters lengthwise.
  • Set out overnight so they are easier to spread.
  • Blend butter and herbs; spread on cut surfaces of buns.
  • Preheat oven to 300°.
  • Arrange buns on cookie sheet; bake for 45 to 60 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Makes 32 sticks.
  • Store in covered container.
  • Can be done in microwave.
