Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. noodles
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 lb. cottage cheese
  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 1/3 c. chopped scallions (or onion)
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter

Method

  • Cook noodles and drain.
  • Saute beef in butter.
  • Stir in tomato sauce.
  • In another bowl combine the next four items.
  • In 2 quart casserole layer as follows:
  • 1/2 of noodles, then cover with cheese mixture, remaining noodles, pour the melted butter over then pour on meat sauce.
  • Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
  • Serves 8-10.
  • Can be made ahead and frozen before serving.
