Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. noodles
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 lb. cottage cheese
- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1/4 c. sour cream
- 1/3 c. chopped scallions (or onion)
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
Method
- Cook noodles and drain.
- Saute beef in butter.
- Stir in tomato sauce.
- In another bowl combine the next four items.
- In 2 quart casserole layer as follows:
- 1/2 of noodles, then cover with cheese mixture, remaining noodles, pour the melted butter over then pour on meat sauce.
- Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
- Serves 8-10.
- Can be made ahead and frozen before serving.
