Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
- 6 to 8 Heath bars, crushed coarsely
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Mix flour, sugars and margarine until mixture is crumbly. Reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
- Add remaining ingredients to dry mixture and beat until smooth.
- Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Sprinkle dry mixture, chopped candy and nuts over top.
- Bake in a 350° oven for about 30 minutes or until top springs back when touched.
