Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups Splenda (can Use Regular Sugar As Well Or Other Low-cal Sweetener)
  • 3/4 cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cups Margarine
  • 1/4 cups Applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 whole Egg (or Egg Substitute)
  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 package Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Method

  • 1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  • 2. Mix sugars, margarine and applesauce in large bowl and beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg.
  • 3. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to wet mixture (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 3. Bake 7 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
  • Best enjoyed warm.
