Ingredients

  • 2 all ready pie crusts
  • 6 med. apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1/3 c. Karo blue label syrup

Method

  • Fit bottom crust into 9 inch pie pan.
  • Fill with sliced apples.
  • Combine cornstarch, cinnamon, salt, sugar, melted butter, and Karo syrup; pour over apples.
  • Cover with top crust.
  • Bake in 425 degree oven 45 min, or possibly till crust is browned and apples are tender.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Combine topping ingredients; spread over top of pie.
  • Return to oven for 10 min, or possibly till topping is bubbly.
  • NOTE: Put this on a dripping pan when baking the topping, it runs!
