Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 2 lb. potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Method
- In a small bowl combine seasonings.
- Place 2 tablespoons in a nonstick skillet.
- Arrange a third of the potato slices in a circular pattern in skillet.
- Sprinkle about 1/4 of the seasonings, 4 tablespoons butter and 2 teaspoons onion.
- Repeat layers twice. Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Invert onto serving platter to unmold potatoes.
- Serves 6 to 8.
